SACRAMENTAL IMAGINATION, FEAR OF THE LORD, AND WONDER AND AWE

Sacramental imagination has been an area of interest for me since graduate school at Villanova University. I have written a number of papers and reflections on the topic. Wonder and awe as they relate to Wisdom Literature can be found here. The role of spirituality as it relates to our will and psyche through the eyes of St. Teresa of Avila can be found here.

SPIRITUALITY & FREEDOM FROM SHAME AND SELF-HARM

A project that is near and dear to my heart is the intersection of spirituality and self-harm and shame. I truly believe that the Church can be a beacon of hope for people who feel shame and suffer self-harm. I devoted an entire paper to this topic as it relates to the sacrament of the anointing of the sick. It was published in Worship in 2012. The full text can be found at Academia.edu.
